Small KMail tip I thoroughly enjoy after getting it from Steven Binner 
(iirc): You can strip these [BLA] from the header with a KMail filter. My 
kde-pim mailing list filter moves the mail to the right folder, and 
rewrites header Subject with these rules: Set replace to \[[kK][^[]*\] 
and with empty. This strips it from the subject.
