Hi Kopete devs,

I recently had some time to spend playing with Kopete in SVN.  I must say 
I'm really impressed with the new away-message system.  The interface in 
earlier versions was rather annoying, but the new system totally surpassed 
all my hopes, so thank you for that!

While I was using Kopete SVN, I came up with a list of other things that 
didn't seem quite right to me.  I think most of them are relatively minor.  
Where possible, I tried to include suggestions as to how to fix them.

I've included the list below; I hope you find it constructive and useful.  
If you would prefer it in some other format (filed as bugs, for instance), 
please let me know.

I would like to help in any way I can.  Unfortunately, my free time is 
somewhat limited, but I will see if I can attempt patches for some of the 
smaller things.

Again, thanks for making Kopete.

VISUAL/USABILITY ISSUES
- No easy visual way to distinguish mobile users from non-mobile users in
  contact list
- Would be nice to have a contact list view like Pidgin's view with icons
  enabled:
  - Take detailed view, right-align status icons (so they don't take up
    their own line)
  - Contacts in detailed view currently take up too much vertical space
- Need an obvious way (other than opening the participants pane, which takes
  up too much space) to tell what account I'm using to talk to the other
  person
  - Put it in the status bar?
- Difficult to figure out how to set statuses on individual accounts
  (this is probably OK; shouldn't have to do it that often)
- The blinking icon when a contact's status changes is annoying (and doesn't
  make it clear what direction the change is -- e.g. blinking when coming
  online isn't clear if the user's coming on or going off)

SETTINGS/PREFERENCES
- No (apparent) way to prioritize which subcontact should be used first
  (e.g. try Bob's "foo" AIM account before his "bar" AIM account)
  - Should be able to drag and drop
- Bug #59080 (Kopete does not keep toolbar settings) has regressed
- No (apparent) way to change the custom color used for accounts

HANDLING OF MOBILE USERS
- Mobile users are handled stupidly:
  - Say you have one contact with two accounts.  One account is mobile and
    the other is away.  Right now Kopete prioritizes the mobile account over
    the away account -- IMO this is wrong.
  - Have an option "Treat mobile users as":
    - Online -- Kopete's current behavior
    - Away -- Make Kopete treat mobile users as though they are online, but
      away.  (But put mobile accounts lower in the priority list.)
    - Offline -- Don't show mobile users as online at all
