I would like to save a custom (status, message) combination for all my accounts, a \
"metastatus".

Eg, I may want a metastatus "A" to mean status X for my Jabber account, status Y for \
Yahoo account, and so on. I should be able to select from metastatus A, B, and so on \
from a menu (as can be done in Pidgin). \
