In my Contact List preferences (under Appearance in Kopete settings), I have \
unchecked "Animate changes to contact list items".  Unfortunately, whatever code \
animates these changes ignores this.  Any changes (people coming/going on/offline) \
leads to roughly 10 seconds of flickering as Kopete flashes the contact icon from the \
old to the new state.

I have also dechecked fold and fade in/out contacts as they appear / disapear.  These \
preferences appear to be respected. _______________________________________________
