This behaviour was first seen with the kopete delivered with KDE 3.5.3. I updated \
kopete independently from KDE to see if kopete 0.12 is also affected. It is ;-)

Kopete automatically changes it status from offline (not away or sth. "almost-online" \
like that) to online. It connects to the IM servers without any action from the user. \
This happens with the jabber and ICQ-accounts. The "go online at activity" option is \
not enabled (even though it shouldn't have any impact here, but since it is also \
broken - see #129920 - I just wanted to mention). \
