Summary: jabber doesn't reconnect after IP change
           Product: kopete
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kopete-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: bugs.kde.org pietzowski de

Version: 0.11.3 (using KDE 3.5.3 Level "a" , unofficial build of SUSE )
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.13-15.7-default

I have a DSL internet connection and the german telekom always disconnects the \
connection after 24 hours but my router reconnects automatically and thus gets a new \
IP.

The problem with the jabber plugin is that when I get up in the morning and look to \
my screen everyday I read the following message:

"There was a connection error; Sorry, something unexpected happened that I do not \
know more about."

This is also anoying because I have to click this message box away every single day. \
And I guess it has to do something with the IP-change of my router. And I also think \
that this message box prevents kopete for continuing and a maybe-reconnect because \
its a modal message box and blocks kopete. Seems like the ICQ-pluging can handle the \
IP-change and reconnects on its own, at least the ICQ flower is always connected.

Need more information? Is the some debug output I can activate for helping you with \
that issue?

Thanks for fixing it - kopete rules anyway!
Andreas
