Summary: encoding message in channels hard to figure out
           Product: kopete
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kopete-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: alexschrod gmail com

Version: 0.10.4 (using KDE 3.4.3, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.6 (Gentoo 3.3.6, ssp-3.3.6-1.0, pie-8.7.8)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-gentoo-r1

When receiving messages on IRC, I sometimes get the notice

Kopete encountered the following error while parsing a message:
Message could not be parsed. This is likely due to an encoding problem. Please ensure \
you have selected the correct encoding for this contact.

This, while helpful in 1-on-1 conversations, is utterly useless in channels. \
Therefore, my wish is for you to replace the phrase "this contact" with the nick of \
the person who sent the message, so I would have a clue which user to set the \
encoding for. _______________________________________________
