           Summary: Cannot connect to IRC
           Product: kopete
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kopete-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: nathan toonetown com

Version:           0.9.90 (using KDE 3.3.90 (alpha1, CVS >= 20041206), Gentoo)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.4.3 20041125 (Gentoo Linux 3.4.3-r1, ssp-3.4.3-0, \
                pie-8.7.7)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-gentoo-r1

For a while (probably a couple of months), I have been unable to connect to IRC using \
the latest code from CVS Head. When trying to connect, I get the following error (in \
the console)

QObject::connect: No such slot KIRC::Engine::slotConnectionClosed()
QObject::connect:  (sender name:   'unnamed')
QObject::connect:  (receiver name: '[KIRC::Engine]')

My timeouts for KDE are set to 5 minutes (600 seconds) for each of them, I am running \
an identd as well (as was suggested in the FAQ) but it doesn't appear to be helping \
any.

It seems to stop attempting to connect after 20 or 30 seconds. I am trying to \
connect to freenode. I have been able to connect in the past.
