Summary: Adding a contact (f.e. ICQ) is to complicated, not user
friendly
Product: kopete
Version: 0.8.1
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kopete-devel kde org
ReportedBy: mpartap gmx net
Version: 0.8.1 (using KDE 3.2.1, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031218 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r5, \
propolice-3.3-7)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.5-gentoo
For example for adding an ICQ user, it'd be more appropiate to first open the search \
window, then let the user search, right click on a result and choose "add", then be \
asked if he wants to use the name the server gives and do it. Fuck first creating a \
container contact. Also, in the icq contact addition wizard, heck why does it say \
"[my ICQ#] contact information" ? what#s that supposed to mean? otherwise, Kopete's \
quite cool. probably either a tutorial how to change or more display styles would \
also be appreciated. Keramik looks cool, but is way to phat f.e..
