No, there isn't. There is no SSL enabled socket in KDE... which is why I 
had to write one.
There is KSSl, which *works* with a raw socket.. but gives you nothing else.
My implementation uses KSSL from inside a KExtSocket derrived classs.

So, are you saying that QSocketImpl can have both Socks and SSL?
