Uhm what? I don't know what "support" means. Which client is the other side 
using? I just added type-2 message support to ICQ (in CVS of course) which is 
needed to receive sim-icq or miranda messages. These two messengers don't 
support the simple type-1 message-format.

The offline-problem is known and will need some more time due to massive code 
redesign. To fix this use a client known to work with serverside-contactlist 
AND authentication and make sure the contact is on your serverside-list AND 
has authenticated you (you can already see the AUTH status in Kopete from 
CVS).

The best idea is to try icq2go (java web client): http://go.icq.com
