The simplest way to do a patch is to using CVS.

first of all, you need to download the cvs (and intall it)  
See our instruction in our website.

If you use CVS, that mean you have the latest developpement version of kopete.
Fortunately, for this patch,  The file chatview.cpp has not changed since the 
last release. But that's not alwaus the case.

When you modified your code, you can type cvs diff to make the patch. for 
example:
cvs diff -upbB > patch.diff

and please send us the patch in a attached file. because it is impossible for 
us to patch it without that (tab are converted to spaces)

Your patch is also refersed (+ are -)

So i am unable to test your patch.


Anyway, your patch looks good.  Thanks verry much

Please re-send us a correct patch (like i explained right before)
so i can be able to patch the cvs, and commit it.
