Of course it is fine, but this should be configurable, because space is 
precious for me.
(maybe not for someone which has usualy only 7 - 8 contact online. But that is 
not my case anymore)


With MSN, i planed to simply dysplay it in the chatwindow.
I can make a MSN "status tool bar" and add the icon in a KActionWidget, like 
the official msn6 client does. This is possible with the new xmlgui system, 
all plugins can add widget they want (as toolbar) in the chatwindow or 
contact list.

Of course the icon may be shated with the KAdressBook, but we need a flag like 
m_trackChildBuddyIcon in the metacontact.  The Contact's icon is like the 
Contact's dysplayname. The contact can put it what they want, and change it 
every seconds
