Of course a real transparency would be the ultimate goal. 
 
No, I was exactly thinking of the pseudo transparency, like it is used for Konsole or 
the Kopete Chat Window. Since the contact list will remain most of the time in the 
background anyway, it's ok to only have the background transparent. 
 
In my opinion this pseudo transparency is more worth to be in the contact list, than 
in the chat window. 
 
Well, this is just an eyecandy and nothing that should be high on the prio list, of 
course.
