Hi all, Duncan, Martijn and i have been discussing changes to the release plan for a successful 0.4 release. we arrived at the following conclusions: - the release goals remain almost unchanged: 1/ use of KMM (exept IRC) 2/ no feature regressions compared to 0.3 - the following plugins will be in kopete: aim, icq, msn, irc and jabber. - the yahoo plugin doesn't implement the chat functionality and does not use KMM. therefore, it won't be bundled with 0.4. the best plans are to release a parallel yahoo tarball for 0.4, which is intended to attract developers. whoever is the current maintainer of the yahoo plugin, what do you think of this idea ? a few showstoppers (as defined in my previous mail) are still present: + Unassigned (Duncan, is this yours?) - IRC testing (not technically a showstopper, but would be nice. and Nick wanted this) - ICQ's send through server has to be implemented in the ICQ plugin (not in KMM) - ICQ's send through server keeps poping up a message box again, and again, and again when choosing "yes". - HistoryWidget is not working like it should. + Assigned to Martijn - MSN still has a few bugs (Martijn could you be more specific here ?) + Assigned to Andres - Color support in KMM your contributions here are very welcome. either way. you can add bugs to this list, or tackle some of them. NOTE: feature freeze on libkopete is still active, and will be active until the release. which means that any changes to libkopete that don't fix one of the showstoppers above should be kept on your local copy until after the release. feature freeze on the selected plugins (all but yahoo) will take effect on monday 27/05/2002. Thanks for your attention :-), -- Andres _______________________________________________ Kopete-devel mailing list Kopete-devel@mail.kde.org http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kopete-devel
