i've got patches against KMM_BRANCH. i just don't have cvs access. one of them 
has been lengthily discussed in this list...

the other one is for the AIM plugin, which i've also ported. i've then merged 
your changes with mine, and the patch is waiting for the other patch to get 
in cvs.
