Package: kopete Version: 0.3 (using KDE 3.0.5 (CVS HEAD >= 20020427)) Severity: normal Installed from: compiled sources Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-98) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18 OS/Compiler notes: Since about two builds of Kopete ago (my own builds - that translates to about since 28 April 2002 - I found that sending a message to a MSN recipient fails in the sense it does not get delivered. However, when I send a message to myself from another (windows MSN Messenger) client, the message does get correctly received and displayed by Kopete. I can also then respond by replying. In other words - if I want to initiate a conversation, I can't. Someone have to first send me a message and only then my messages get delivered. I do not know whether this is a MSN service problem or a Kopete one, I just know that it works in MSN Messenger and I have tried to log in/out /restart Kopete several times.
