A Jabber plugin will absolutely be welcome but for now we concentrate on 
improving the existing plugins and - moreover - the API itself.

If you'd like to see the plugin sooner we welcome you to write it yourself. 
You can always mail to this list or ask on #kopete on IRC if you have 
questions :-)
