  Just a quick note: I'm currently working on porting Konsole to XMLGUI (and 
hopefully LiveUI soon).  In the process I'm porting some of the Qt3 variables 
to Qt4.  I'll likely add a branch konsole-gui sometime.
If you're working on Konsole, lets not duplicate work.  I'll take care of 
merging any commits/conflicts.
