I know that a lot of people have been wondering about this when trying to use screen + konsole - and bugs.kde.org is also the first place I went to when experiencing the same problem - only to find no related bugs. The issue is related to konsole scrollback not saving history and screen's alternate screen. I had found this post from Adam Lazur on the screen list and I believe it will be useful to others: -- I suspect what you're describing is an effect of alternate screen [1] support in the terminal emulator that you are running screen [2] within (xterm, konsole, something-else-that-isnt-xterm-but-sets-TERM=xterm ?). Try adding the following to your screenrc: # Do not use xterms alternate window buffer (add lines to scrollback bfr) termcapinfo xterm|xterms|xs ti=\E7\E[?47l -- Adam Lazur, Cluster Monkey [1] overloading of the word screen makes this confusing, this usage does not mean screen the program [2] screen the progam _______________________________________________ konsole-devel mailing list konsole-devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/konsole-devel
