It looks for changes in the terminal. If you e.g. redirect standard error
to /dev/null there is no activity which can be detected by Konsole. ;-)

10 seconds. It's not configurable at the moment.

Cluster management: If you want to execute the same keystrokes on different
computers or on the same computer but for different directories or users.

How Konsole processes a bell character (Ctrl-G in Bash will produce one).
- None = Silent/No reaction
- System notification = Play sound/system bell/flash whole widget, whatever
is configured in KControl Accessbility, System Bell & System Notification.
- Visible Bell = Only flashes the inner terminal widget.

Sure.

http://developer.kde.org/development-versions/kde-3.0-features.html should
list nearly all new features and behaviour changes. I just added Alt-Ctrl-S
shortcut which allows to rename the session-name without mouse.
Btw, http://usability.kde.org/noncvs/reports/konsole/1.html mentions some
suggestions regarding improvement of Konsole documentation.
Bye,
