Subject: titlebar clutter session field
From: kdebugs@cmdrtaco.net

Package: konsole
Version: KDE 2.2.0
Severity: normal
Installed from: Debian Packages
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Not Specified
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

konsole has a bad habit of laying its titlebar out like this:

session - prompt - konsole

which is extremely problematic for people who like to use the prompt to put useful \
information into their titlebar (CWD, Machine Name, Account etc). While the \
information is in the titlebar, it is shoved over by the session name... resulting in \
it getting truncated in the task list applet.

The best you can do is name the Session an empty string, which gives you a hyphen and \
a space before your desired information.

I would suggest simply not displaying the hyphen if the session is blank... or \
providing a checkbox that says "Do Not Display Session in Title Bar". Very simple, \
but it would go a long way towards making my dozens of konsole tasks in my task list \
to stand out from one another.
