I am using 8-bit color mode.
In www.kde.org the various links on the left side appear as dark blue text against black background. In the same 8-bit mode, netscape (without -install option) shows then as dark blue text on light grey box.

"konqueror --cmap" does not face this problem 
however. But neither does netscape (even without a -install option) in 8-bit mode.
