From konq-bugs Tue Jul 31 02:03:02 2001 From: owner () bugs ! kde ! org (Stephan Kulow) Date: Tue, 31 Jul 2001 02:03:02 +0000 To: konq-bugs Subject: Bug#15704: marked as done (Marking files in Konqueror in detailed view) by John Firebaugh To: submit@bugs.kde.org Subject: Marking files in Konqueror in detailed view From: mail@puchalla-online.de Package: konqueror Version: 2.0.0 Severity: normal Installed from: Source 3 bugs, all about marking files in detailed view, they were not listed in the wizard, but "there have been more matches" I want to mark some files. When I now move the mouse with button pressed below all files, all files are marked, but I did not "touch" any of them. Let's say I have some directories and 10 files in my directory. Now I want to mark with the mouse file Nr 3 to 8. For this I have to use the keyboard, pressing Shift and Ctrl when needed. :-( What I want to do is to select these files only by dragging the mouse in a rectangle, beginning in some other column than the name-column and ending in the name-column. Because not being in the name column, I have an arrow instead of a hand. That is OK, so I want to "draw" a rectangle, beginning there, to select multiple files. But only one file is selected that way, the one I started with... (Hope you understood this :-) ) Having selected multiple files, including an executable (x is set) I take all of them and move them around to copy/move them somewhere. When I got over the executable, afterwards it is not marked blue any longer, nevertheless it will be moved. I think this happens because I can open a file by an executable by dragging it there. That's OK, but nevertheless it should stay marked, when it was selected before :-) (submitted via bugs.kde.org)
