On freshly installed Linux Mint 17.1 KDE everything seems to be fine from the
very beginning using either WebKit or KHTML, atlhough I haven't tested it
thoroughly.

I don't know if it matters, but the default identification strings in both
cases are as follows:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/534.34 (KHTML, like Gecko)
konqueror/4.14.2 Safari/534.34
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) KHTML/4.14.2 (like Gecko) Konqueror/4.14
