Bug ID: 341062
Summary: No provision for proxy username and password
Product: systemsettings
Version: unspecified
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: NOR
Component: kcm_proxy
Assignee: konq-bugs@kde.org
Reporter: kevin.clevenger@gmail.com
I need to use a SOCKS proxy that requires username and password. There is no
provision in System Settings for entering a proxy username and password. When
entering just the proxy hostname and port in System Settings I never get
prompted for a username/password. I've also tried user:pass@proxy.host.dom in
the SOCKS Proxy field, but the user:pass is removed on exit.
This appears to have been covered in BZ 232626, but like comment #22 notes the
username/password fields no longer exist.
Reproducible: Always
Actual Results:
No facility for entering proxy authentication info
Expected Results:
Username and password fields for entering proxy authentication info
F20 current, KDE version 4.14.2 (there is no 4.14 in the Version selector
above)
