Humm - I just had this issue this morning 2014/03/27 on a fresh install of
Debian 7.4 KDE.

I was adding an alternate shortcut to focus the searchbar using Ctrl-K. The
applicatoin crashed immediately on hitting 'OK'.

To resolve the issue I created a new scheme (which I did NOT use) by hitting
the 'Details' button and then 'New'. Once this scheme existed I was able to
modify the default scheme without issue. 

I realize this issue has been 'closed' but I hope this text might help someone
else if they encounter the isssue.
