I'm having this exact same issue... I'm on a network right now, that uses the
"autodetect proxy settings" from "Network Preferences" under "System settings".

Browser works fine, but if I try to run a command that access the network
through konsole, it will not work (e.g wget)

It would be great if konsole could get the proxy settings and just work...
However, can anyone tell me where this "automatic proxy settings" is stored? at
least I can manually do it, but I have no idea where this is...
