            Bug ID: 298711
          Severity: major
           Version: unspecified
          Priority: NOR
          Assignee: konq-bugs@kde.org
Summary: "Unknown Host" displayed for all external web
                    addresses
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux
          Reporter: daiajo@gmail.com
          Hardware: Compiled Sources
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
         Component: general
           Product: konqueror

Trying to access any external website gives "Unknown Host". Both chromium &
firefox are able to display the exact same webpage that konueror cannot. A
simple example is www.google.com.au, or bugs.kde.org, they display fine in
other browsers but not in konqueror. Its like konqueror can no longer do dns
translation.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to open a website in konqueror that fails with "Unknown Host"
2. Try to open that same website in another browser
3.
Actual Results:
The website is displayed in the other browser.

Expected Results:
konqueror should display the webpage

I do updates on a daily basis, but there were no web related updates in between
konqueror working and not working. I have this problem for 2 days only,
konqueror was working fine then not at all.
I have tried shutting down konqueror completely, on restart the problem
persists.
If I access my ADSL modem by numeric address, that works.
