You do understand that many websites to this day use browser identification
string to exclude "unsupported" browsers right ? I am not saying that is the
case here, but that is exactly what we have an option for changing the
user-agent identification string. 

Also which browser engine were you using ? Configure
Konqueror->General->Default browser engine. Since you are using Mandriva, here
