Following your advice, I agree the bug should be directed to Konqueror or
Systemsettings developers.  There remain 2 slightly different problems:
(1) the default setting for browser is clearly wrong: it should not be the
file-manager version of Konqueror (Kfm), but the browser version: I have never
used Konqueror as a file manager, so my actions should not have caused this.
(2) the Default Applications line is missing from my Systemsettings (as above).
The latter may be due to the fact that I don't use the KDE desktop, only some
applications like Konsole: which item in the KDE SC handles the setting of
default applications ?
