Everytime I try to start Konqueror it crashes if > flash-player is installed. Other browsers firefox, opera, seamonkey and > chromium all work with flash-player. Has been reported. My flash-player comes > from openSUSE repo. > > Thanks. I run Opensuse 12.1 x86_64 - which I updated from Opensuse 11.4. During the update I had to overcome several obstacles - can't go into details here. Just some remarks: I do not use Opensuse 12.1 with the "systemd" - startup procedures. Just the standard sysvinit startup. The graphics card is a Nvidia GTX 460 with the proprietary driver 290.10. Relevant repositories: 1) standard opensuse 12.1 repo (http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/12.1/repo/oss/) 2) opensuse 12.1 update repository (http://download.opensuse.org/update/12.1/) 3) KDE (4.7) factory repository (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Distro:/Factory/openSUSE_12.1/) 4) KDE Extras repository (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Extra/openSUSE_12.1/) and many more additional e.g. for network, security, and server stuff - but these other repos should not be important here. RPMs versions of Konqueror and flash in the respective repositories : flash-player 11.1.102.55-3.1 - of the 12.1 update repository flash-player-kde4 11.1.102.55.3.1 - of the 12.1 update repository pullin-flash-player 12.1.-9.1 - of the 12.1. update repository konqueror 4.7.4-276.2 - of the KDE factory repository konqueror-plugins 4.7.4-276.2 - of the KDE factory repository libkonq5 4.7.4-276.2 - of the KDE factory repository kdebase4-libkonq 4.7.4-276.2 - of the KDE factory repository In Konqueror you have in addition to go to the settings for the extensions. There activate extension modules globally or for the domains in question with high to highest CPU priority. In additiion I had to press the button "search for extensions". Then the extension list should show /usr/lib64/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.so Finish with the OK button.
