--- Comment #3 from Gérard Talbot <browserbugs gtalbot org> 2011-08-16 17:33:45 ---
Praeder,

I went to http://www.huffingtonpost.com/ (and was redirected to
huffingtonpost.ca) and did not experience CPU activity maximized, unresponsive
application, hung application.
I noticed that the page uses up to 196 images which need to be downloaded; 180
have been downloaded.

Also 3 errors reported: all of them related to undeclared javascript variables
wrt advertisements.
Error : http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/ : ReferenceError: Can't find variable:
adSetHtNm
Error : http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/ : ReferenceError: Can't find variable:
adSetOthAT
Error : http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/ : ReferenceError: Can't find variable:
htmlAdWH

Finally, the http connection never ends (otherwise, at least, the K throbber
remains animated), possibly (just a hunch) because the application is waiting
for the missing 16 images.

I went to
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/?country=US
and noticed the same external signs and javascript errors reported.

This kind of webpage is usually a nightmare to debug because it uses an insane
amount of javascript code (mostly for or related to advertisement content), CSS
and the very long work to do is to try to reduce the webpage causing the
problem to a simplified, reduced, minimized useful testcase.

--------------

Regarding http://tinyeyes.com/ , I did not experience any problem with the
steps to reproduce that you provided. Note that any bug report should be
accurate and unique. You may experience similar symptoms or external signs but
webpages code are different. So, please do not mention other webpages which may
have nothing to do with another page.

--------------

What a bug report like this requires is a *_reduced_* testcase which reproduces
the problem. Nothing else is really going to help at this point.
