Summary: to fix protocol not supported eror, integrate search
                    in location bar
           Product: konqueror
           Version: SVN
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konq-bugs@kde.org
        ReportedBy: maarizwan@rediffmail.com

Version: SVN (using Devel)
OS: Linux

Most web users use "location" bar to search online using google (or preferred
search engine) in almost all modern and popular browsers like firefox, chrome,
ie9, opera, rekonq, etc.

Now, konqueror, seems outdated and annoying, when it throws a geeky "protocol
not supported" error, when a user wants to search say "kde 4.7" using location
bar. Yes, I know there is a search bar, but I'm talking about users of
contemporary web browsers.

To fix this:

Konqueror should by DEFAULT:

1. Set "Google" (as it is the most popular search engine, and let user choose
it himself/herself) search engine
2. Set "Space" as search delimiter

in Web Shortcuts.

And voila, we have a good helpful konqueror integrated search, location,
filemanagement bar , which is still awesome.

thanks.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open konqueror
2. type "KDE" on location bar
3. press enter
4. Bam! "protocol not supported" punch on the users face! along with loss of
type keywords

Actual Results:
konqueror should allow searching from location bar like most modern browsers.

Expected Results:
instead of "protocol not supported" error, konqi should use default search
engine and search the text.

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.39-ARCH
Compiler: gcc
