dpkg -L konqueror-plugin-searchbar may tell you something interesting -- it
doesn't contain anything but some text files. Install konq-plugins instead. 

dpkg-query -S searchbar.desktop 
to see where the ghost settings entry comes from

(though, you may want to just use the location bar URI filters instead, and
save some screen space)
