Verizon authentication page appears correctly when spoofing user agent to
opera/firefox.

They use stupid hardcoded and obfuscated browser detection code, 
bn=navigator.appName,_bn=(_II(_bn,"Microsoft")?_bn:"MSIE"),_bnN=(_bn=="Netscape"),
http://cache.vzw.com/js/shared/hbx/hbx.js

Paypal-bug is not so simple one although there is also similar detection code
used: var
ua=navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase(),isOpera=(ua.indexOf('opera')>-1),isSafari=(ua.ind \
exOf('safari')>-1),isGecko=(!isOpera&&!isSafari&&ua.indexOf('gecko')>-1),isIE=(!isOpera&&ua.indexOf('msie')>-1);
