I have the same problem. On a new KDE 4.2, none of the favicons display in
keditbookmarks. Update favicon and Update all favicons do nothing. Two icons
out of dozens appear in the Konqueror menu. There are icons in
/var/tmp/kdecache-david/favicons, and some menu icons will display the favicon
on mouse rollover, but only on rollover and never in the URL bar. A few show in
the tab, but most do not.
