Have you experienced this bug again with a recent KDE version ( 4.1.3 /
4.2beta1 / 4.2svn)? Thanks :)

Here, using KDE4.1.3 , Qt 4.4.3 (on my Celeron M 540, Intel GMA x3100
(xf86-video-intel 2.3.2) on XOrg-server 1.4 ), even while compiling KDE4.2svn,
the site you posted and the animations inside render smooth. Also click "Stop
Animations", really stop the animations.
