In those other bugs it seems the problem goes away somehow. I can't reproduce
in Kubuntu 4.1.1. But since it surfaces every now and then, it must be some
specific setting somewhere.

I've checked some config files, and the one that could mean problems in that
area is this file ( I think, I'm not an expert ):

- .kde4/share/apps/konqsidebartng/webbrowsing/entries/home.desktop 
the first 3 lines say where the home folder goes, could you tell me your values
for those lines?

Also, you could backup your konqueror related files in .kde4/share/apps and
.kde4/share/config, remove them and see if the problem goes away.
