I just tried it with 3.5.9 (Fedora 8 on x86, updates-testing repository):

now the plugin isn't started anymore when "on demand" is selected. In previous \
versions there was a button to manually start the plugin. This button is not there, \
instead I see an empty grey area where e.g. the flash plugin should be when visiting \
youtube. _______________________________________________
