Discovered that it's something to do with the DNS - when I switched to using openDNS then everything \
started working Ok.

On the one hand, this could be a case of 'fix your DNS - not our problem'. But since no other browser has \
any problem, this is probably still something konqueror (or a component of KDE) needs to have fixed. \
