The expected behavior can be observed in other browsers such as Firefox and IE.

Steps to reproduce
1 - Clear your location bar of all text
2 - Type in google
3 - Hit Control+Enter
4 - See the Malformed URL error

The expected behavior:
Do steps 1 through 3
4 - See Konqueror open up http://www.google.com



The same applies for Alt+Control+Enter:

Steps to reproduce
1 - Clear your location bar of all text
2 - Type in kde
3 - Hit Alt+Control+Enter
4 - See the Malformed URL error

Expected behavior:
Do steps 1-3
4 - Be directed to http://www.kde.org
