Note that
a) the behavior of download links on sourceforge is different depending on whether \
you are logged in or not, and whether you downloaded something before, recently, or \
not, so this may explain the different behavior in firefox b) sourceforge is not \
always perfectly reliable, so this may well have been an issue at sourceforge.

Can you still reproduce this? Otherwise, I think this report should be closed.
