In general, when two files are about to be overwritten, the file manager should not only check if the files are the same (first checking the file size, then offering checksum) but also allow to compare the files in a way that depends on the file type (side by side images, kcompare in text, side-by-side kpdf windows, side-by-side minimal music/video players).
