Summary: split view better to display empty about:blank page?
           Product: konqueror
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konq-bugs kde org
        ReportedBy: mpartap gmx net

Version: 3.5.7 (using KDE 3.5.7, Gentoo)
Compiler: Target: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.22-gentoo-r1

So why do people split a web view? MOSTLY because they want to look at another, \
DIFFERENT site at the same time. Split view always loads the same site again. I \
countlessly canceled the loading but now the glass is full and I report this: I'd \
propose splitting the view while looking at a web site should open an empty page \
(about:blank).. don't know how to handle local file views; from my experience the \
current behaviour to duplicate the current view fits my needs as a user. Maybe \
another config setting...!? ;) _______________________________________________
