Summary: kioslaves do not preserve timestamp
           Product: konqueror
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Debian stable
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konq-bugs kde org
        ReportedBy: rsok chem ubc ca

Version: 3.5.6 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Debian stable Packages
OS: Linux

when I look at the remote directory using fish protocol (when something like \
fish://username remotemachine org/public_html is in the konqueror's address bar) and \
copy or move files from there to my local machine (drag-and-drop to another konqueror \
window) the local copy of the file has the timestamp that reflects the time of \
copying. The same thing happens when I use ftp, sftp, or ssh protocols instead of \
fish, or when I copy files from the local machine to the remote one.

This behavior seems wrong to me. It is reasonable to _preserve_ the original \
modification time - after all, the copied file has not been changed. This behavior is \
also inconsistent, since local copying in konqueror does preserve the timestamp. \
