Summary: Konqi should detect and import bibliographic data
Product: konqueror
Version: unspecified
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: konq-bugs kde org
ReportedBy: ohreallyfool gmail com
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
It would be great if Konqueror could have a feature that would extract bibliographic \
data and import it into a common bibliographic data manager like Kbibtex. There is a \
javascript bookmark that can do this associated with the Refworks.com, a business \
that acts as an online Endnote, that manages your databases and helps you organize \
your references and make bibliographies for your technical papers. This is a very \
good tool and it would be awesome if Konqueror could have some native support for \
such a feature.
If this tool could work directly with OpenOffice (or Koffice?), that would be \
unbelievable. But a tool that could extract bibliographic information and store it in \
a local database (Kbibtex seems like a good choice) with a single click would be very \
useful - for scientists and for others as well.
best
