Recently Nautilus introduced a splendidly usable "keyboard search facility" whereby pressing the first few letters of a file or directory name would take the focus to the next file or directory whose name started with the letters just pressed.

e.g. if you have are displaying a directory which ocntains the following directories and files:

Elvis
Foobar
Fred
Green Onions
Grexnix
Xerxes

Then pressing "fo" would make "Foobar" the selected item.  Similarly pressing "grex" would select "Grexnix" etc.

I would like to see Konqueror adopt this behavious as it is damn useful for people like me who can't "see the file name for looking" but can soon find it by using the keyboard.

P.S. Obviously the best way for you to see this in action is to use Nautilus and try it out but   maybe asking a KDE developer to use a GNOME app might make their head explode :)
