In Firefox it is possible to open links with mouse gestures in new tabs i.e.:
pressing the mouse button over the link, moving mouse up, and releasing the button.
The same gesture done in other place where there is no link causes opening new empty tab.

Only the second behavior is available in konqueror regardless whether it is done over the link or not.
