------- I was just trying to set up Kmail in a new install of Kubuntu. Now Kontact \
crashes upon opening. I set up Kmail in gentoo with no problems. Before Kmail crashed \
the first time, top reported that it was using over 97% of resources. I continued to \
try to configure anyway, but eventually had to kill it. 

Backtrace isn't available because debugger "gdb" isn't installed. This happens even \
after a computer restart, every time Kontact is started. \
